A mild 18C, overcast and spotting with light rain through most of the run. While in Belfast for Westlife tour I went for an out and back 7 mile route, heading from hotel along the A2 Shore Road in the direction of Carrickfergus. A fairly flat route, kept it nice and easy and concentrated on not getting lost!

A sunny hot day for a run, starting around 18C and rising. Went for my usual 13 mile route through Woodall, Harthill and Kiveton. Stuck to an easy pace because of the heat and it worked well. Garmin battery died at 19.1km so no data for the last 2km. No niggles, so a tough but positive run.

Time: 2:08 (was 1:55:59 for 19.1km)
Avg HR: 153bpm
Avg pace: 6:04
Calories: 1360 for 19km

A warm morning, 16C and sunny. Went for a 7 mile run before the sun really heated the day up. Thought this was a better idea than running in the evening in London. Tried to keep HR in the 140s and run an easy pace. Felt fine, just the usual left calf niggles but not a problem.

A warm, sunny day 18C. Got the day off work to take Jacqui to a gig in Nottingham so got up late and had a 7 mile run. There was a stiff breeze on the far side of RV (nice), but on this side it was sheltered and very hot. Tried to slow the pace and take it easy but HR still climbed high. A good run, but felt the big increase in temp compared to the recent cool damp weeks we’ve had.

A cool, breezy 8C. Felt quite chilly when the strong breeze was on me on the far side of RV. Thought I’d go for 3 laps of RV (10 miles). Felt quite good and on the second lap in particular it felt easy and fast. Still had slight niggle left calf, more shin actually, but that went off. Pleased with time/pace, but HR was a bit high. Was running using glutes and think that contributed to a higher HR.

Mild and breezy, 13C. Light showers stopped just before I started. In Cardiff for Westlife so I had a 6 mile run while Jacqui was in the gig. Found a 2km circular route around a basin/wharf, and did three laps of that. Together with the 1.5km route to and from the basin and a loop of a theatre it came to 10km.

Felt tired after an early start to the day, a long drive and few hours waiting around for the group. Legs felt ok and managed to keep a decent pace on the mostly flat route. Left calf/shin niggle was slight at the start, went off during the run, but is still there.

Bright and breezy, sunny inbetween high white clouds. After a day working in London for work I had to get out to Rother Valley and went for a 7 mile run. Felt good from the start and had planned to do a steady pace. But a young lad sprinted past me at the start of RV and I took up the chase. I knew he would not maintain his pace and passed him after half a lap. Kept it going, in spite of high HR. Thought it would either be a PB for either the time or max HR. Think it was both! Previous PB for this route/distance was 1:04:30, so well over 2 mins knocked off 🙂
