Cool 5C, a bright dry day. Went for three laps of Rother Valley, 10 miles.  Starting to increase the mileage as the build up to the Greater Manchester Marathon in April. Felt good but took it steady. I maintained a pace of 6 minutes per km for the first two laps to keep something for the extra lap. This approach worked well and I think the third lap was slighly quicker. Enjoyed a brilliant sunrise, wished I’d had a camera to take a photo. The usual right leg niggle on and off. Finished in good shape, feeling the same as a good paced 7 miler.
