Warm, 17C, sunny.  Went for the usual 7 mile run.  Legs felt a bit tired on the first lap, but started to feel better on the second lap.  Minor niggles included left shin and left hamstring, but they were short-lived.  Kept it steady, ignored Garmin and ran to how I felt.  Carried 330ml water.  Another sweaty run.

Warm, 16C, sunny.  Went for the usual 7 mile run.  Carried 330ml water anticipating it being warmer down in Rother Valley, and it was.  My legs felt strong but I deliberately didn’t push too hard just in case I overdid it.  No need to rush around as I’m on leave this week.  Still got up early though, to run at the coolest time of day.  No niggles, and hardly any rabbits to be seen as RV was relatively busy.

Distance:  11.48km
Time:  1:02:13
Avg HR:  144bpm
Avg pace:  5:25 min/km

19C, hot, bright but cloudy.  Went for the usual 13 mile run, and set off early to avoid the worst of the heatwave.  Given the heat I was planning to run easy, just get around.  Was caught out by a low Garmin battery so not able to track heart race and pace.  Felt good but sweated buckets.  Carried 500ml water and had a gel before I started.  Tired a lot in the last few km, but given the effort I was putting in I thought it would be a relatively fast time.  Minor niggle left knee.  This long run felt much tougher than recent ones, really worn out by the heat.

Distance:  21.05km
Time:  1:57:03
Avg HR:  ? probably quite high
Avg pace: can’t be bothered to work it out

Rabbits seen:  7

Cool, 14C, with the sun breaking through the cloud cover.  Went for the usual 7 mile run.  Felt strong from the beginning and did a decent pace on the first lap without pushing hard, then on the second lap my speed increased as I gradually chased down a runner ahead of me.  I was sprinting as I passed them, turned out of RV and raced up the hill.  I’d expected a time over 62 mins, maybe near 63 mins, so was pleased to do 61.5 mins  (current PB is 1:00:32).  Plenty of dog walkers, bikes and a few runners kept the rabbits in hiding.  No niggles, but a sharp toenail caused a minor bleed on middle toe right foot.

Time:  1:01:28
Avg HR:  147bpm
Avg pace:  5:22 min/km
