training run #750

7C, blue skies, sunny, mild. Temp rose to at least 14C at the end. The plan called for a 20 mile/up to 3.5 hour run, so I followed the same route as two weeks ago. Had a gel before starting and carried three more; ate two and lost one, probably when I was taking my gloves off and putting them in my SIS pouch. Carried 500ml water, bought another at Swallownest Co-op at 13 miles, and needed both. Went through 13.1 miles in 2:05. Should probably have left my lightweight jacket at home. Started out slow and easy, and HR was OK, but it climbed a bit with the hills and the heat. Managed to keep going fine. Minor niggles with left ankle, and my right knee felt ever so slightly off, but not sore or painful. Pleased to get a second 20-miler under my belt. Five weeks to London Marathon. Stats are very similar to the last 20-miler.
