12C, grey and overcast. Cool weather for today’s 13 mile run. Drank 500ml water and had 2 gels. Felt fine, no problems. Not fast but a reasonable average HR. Slight drizzle at the start, caught a light shower in Harthill and it rained on the return through RV. A bit tired at the finish.

Thinking that I’ll do another week of my runs instead of the shorter training plan for the marathon. This week I ran 4 hours instead of the scheduled 3.5.

14C, grey and cloudy. There was drizzle on the first lap of this 7 mile run. It turned to rain on the second lap. Nice and cool for a run. Left hip wasn’t noticeable today. Nice run.

14C, warm, sunny.  Did a 7 mile run.  Looking at the marathon training schedule I should start this week, I see it totals 3.5 hours over five runs.  I’m already doing 5 hours a week over 4 runs. So I will follow my own pattern this week, and maybe next.  Drank 500ml water. Enjoyed the sunshine, this really was the best hour of the day.

Working in Liverpool for an exhibition on Weds I didn’t take my trainers, thought I’d struggle for time.  Feels like I’ve aggravated something near my hip/top of left thigh on outside, probably pulling heavy bags around.  Hope it feels ok in the morning…

16C, warm and sunny, rising to 20C. Went for a weekend 13 miler, as usual. As I entered RV another runner (Oliver) ran alongside until 5k, and as he’d done 18k already I kept the pace easy. That paid off, as I felt good through the middle and later parts of the run. Had 500ml water (could have done with more) and two gels. Finished a bit warm but pleased with the time. HR was a bit high.

17C, warm. Another 7 mile run. My legs were tired in sympathy with the grey skies, but loosened up and got stronger with the sunshine that came out on the second lap. Perhaps my bald head really is a solar panel 🙂 Drank 500ml water. No problems.

17C, warm but grey and overcast. There was quite a bit of a headwind on the far side of RV for this 7 mile run. Legs felt tired at the start but finished strong.
