13C, cool, grey skies. The plan called for a 90 minute run including 70 mins at marathon pace. Did 9 miles – two full laps and two laps of the northern lake – which was 79 minutes including 67 mins at marathon pace. Had to get off to work. Felt slight heel niggle (both) for the first mile, but apart from that everything felt great. Easily did Marathon pace and speed gradually crept up so I was running interval pace for the last few miles. Finished strong. Drank 500ml water.
