training run #969

Saturday 1 August, 07:49  Yorkshire Day

14C, mild, sunny, breezy.  Went for a 7 mile run as usual, 2 laps of Rother Valley. Not been able to run before work this week due to travel and lots of early starts, been a stressful and tiring work week. But I’m now off work for two weeks so should be able to start building back up.

Disaster struck as I got ready.  The watch strap on my trusty Garmin Forerunner 110 broke. As its a moulded watch you can’t just click on a replacement so I’ve gone online and ordered a nylon NATO watch strap to effect a repair. I’ll get a bit more use out if it. Seems they build the watches this way so when the strap eventually goes it’s another big investment to get a new GPS/HR/sports watch with the latest gimmicks.

The run was straightforward. Lovely to get outside and stretch my legs and really enjoyed it.  Didn’t push too hard, just eased around.  Timed it on my wristwatch stopwatch.

Distance:  11.5km estimated

Time:  1:04:33

Avg HR:  no data

Avg pace:  who cares?

Calories:  880 estimated
