8C, cool, clear skies. A 7 mile run. The plan said an easy run at HR zone 2. Felt the usual niggles early on but got into a nice rhythm, watched the sky turn orange as the sun came up. Felt blessed to be able to enjoy this. Drank 500ml water. Strangely high average HR despite running easy, maybe the chest strap needs a new battery.

Distance:  11.5km

Time:  1:05:44

Avg HR:  162bpm ??

13C, mild, some cloud /sunrise. An 8 mile run, all the RV part being a Marathon Pace Session.  Right foot niggle (irritation / soreness on a part of forefoot behind 4th toe) which turns to a tingling after a run. Managed to keep a steady pace between 5:20 and 5:30 min/sec on MPS. Straightforward run.

12C, mild, overcast, breezy. An 8 mile run today, including intervals of 3x 1200m with 400m recovery. Legs still felt tired from the weekend long run but tried to stick to the training schedule knowing I have a business trip later this week that will cost me a run. Tired towards the end, and the wind strengthened too on the home stretch. Drank 500ml water.

12C, bright and breezy. A rare run with my twin brother Jeff, 16 miles. Felt OK and I seemed to be pushing a bit to keep up. Enjoyed catching up on news and thoughts about the New York trip. Felt right heel/calf a little.

There was an event on at Rother Valley and I almost picked up a finishers medal when stewards directed us through the finish line. Drank 500ml water and had 3 gels. Enjoyed this one and did a good time (for me).  Six weeks to NYC marathon.

Distance:  25.82km

Time:  2:24:30

Avg HR:  163bpm (strap kept slipping)

14C, mild with a bit of drizzle. An early start for this 7 mile run, as taking the car in for a service.  The schedule called for a Marathon Pacing Session. After a tiring day on Wednesday working in London my legs were not 100% but I tried to maintain a good pace.

It was dark on the first lap, and had pre-dawn light on the second. Bits of light rain on and off. Drank 500ml water. Satisfied with a 63 minute finish.
