5C to 8C, cold, grey, overcast. A 15 mile long slow run in the Peak District. Was scheduled to do the last long run, 20 miles, before Windermere Marathon. Decided to get some hills in and do a shorter distance. Ran from Totley across to Big Moor and followed bits of a route in the opposite direction to what I’m familiar with (ran clockwise).

Took it steady, enjoyed the hills. Had 250ml water and a gel. Learned a few new sections. The sun peeped through towards the end. Still very soggy underfoot after a wet Spring.
